3.4 Your own manual network
On this page, you can design a neural network of your own in just a few steps. To do this, enter the desired topology (i.e. the network’s layout) in the input field and click New
. This neural network tool allows for a maximum of 4 layers with a maximum of 4 neurons per layer.
After creating the network, it is possible to change all weights and thresholds individually and send input data of your own choice through the network. Weights and thresholds can be changed with a mouse click. Input data can be entered by clicking on the input neurons. As soon as all inputs are available, the currently calculated output data is displayed and updated with every change.
Instructions
- Fill in the topology field correctly and click
New
to create a new neural network with random values for weights and thresholds. - Hover over weights and thresholds to display their values.
- Click on weights and thresholds to change their values.
- Click on the input neurons to enter input data. Once all inputs are present, the neural network calculation is displayed and updated with each change.
- Click in the blank space to reset all input data and calculations.
- In the figure, blue stands for negative values and red stands for positive values.
A comprehensive online tool for creating neural networks for your own training and test data can be found at the end of these learning units.
