Science on Stage Poland
Science on Stage Poland offers Polish STEM teachers and students a platform to exchange, to learn from each other and to meet new friends. The initiative was established in 2000 and is based at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.
Every two years, Science on Stage Poland organises a national event. About 350 teachers and students are invited to the faculty of Physics of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. The festival activities are divided into three groups: demonstration of phenomena, theatre performances and multimedia presentations. In contrast to Science on Stage in other countries, an important fact for Science on Stage Poland is that teachers and students are equal actors.
From 25-28 April, Science on Stage Poland organised the Science on Stage festival 2013 for 346 STEM teachers from 25 countries together with Science on Stage Germany. The festival was held in the Collegium Polonicum in Słubice and the nearby German border city Frankfurt (Oder).
The main financial contribution to the project brings the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the scope of activities disseminating science.
