Science on Stage UK at the ASE Annual Conference
For the first time since the pandemic teachers and others from all over the UK, (and Europe) were able to meet for 3 days for their annual conference in January at Sheffield Hallam University. Science on Stage UK was well represented and our delegates presented some excellent workshops. David and Adrian’s “It’s not magic, it’s science you don’t see” drew large crowds which overspilled the allocated room and was listed as the highlight workshop of day 2 out of over 100 workshops. Other SonS workshops presented included Emma (Food for 21st Century), Jules (Science Stories), Iain (Advanced Physics Project) and Becky (Scientists Story Time) presence in the Schools Exhibition (headed up by Sarah) and a teach meet. We launched our application processes for Turku 2024, and were able to obtain many new contacts at each workshop. It was special to meet up again in person with many friends and make some new ones.
