Science on Stage Latvia: Researchers' Night 2023
On Friday, the 29th of September, the "Researchers' Night 2023" took place in Jelgava, bringing together pre-school and primary school students in educational and exciting workshops to explore the diverse powers of nature.
Around 400 preschool and junior class students together with their families visited the workshops and explored the desert, the Arctic zone, and the jungle world, got caught in a snowstorm, overcame gravity, learned about the internal and external processes of the earth, landforms, and volcanoes, and got involved in hands-on activities with the electric and magnetic forces of nature.
They also had the opportunity to explore the power of wood, build sailing ships, paper helicopters, desert camels, take part in moonwalking competitions, identify jungle animals, search for hidden treasures of pirates, melt dinosaur eggs, explore the secrets of nature in the black box, see the interaction between algorithm and motion, etc.
The event was organized in cooperation with Jelgava municipality schools and former participants of the “Science on Stage” festivals.
