The winners of the Future League
On the 24th of November, a Europe-wide competition for teachers and their students, the Future League, came to completion with the final in Berlin. Ten teams from nine countries travelled to the capital to present their forward-looking STEM teaching projects to an international audience. The teams' ideas had previously prevailed against competitors from over 15 countries.
During the event, a panel of experts inspected all the projects and selected the three best. The winning projects are:
1st place: Seewache (Greece)
Designed and built from scratch "Seewache" is the new low-cost protector of the sea. A mini-submarine fully equipped with tools to facilitate seaweed cultivation and at the same time monitor and protect the coastal environment. Bringing technology to boost "blue economy" and help the fight for zero hunger, "Seewache" is our mean to sail to a sustainable future. Watch the project video.
