#sons2024: The national event of Canada

On the weekend of the 4th to the 6th of August, Science on Stage Canada carried out its national Science on Stage festival. These national events are a great opportunity for STEM teachers from all over the country to come together, present their ideas and learn from each other. At the event of Science on Stage Canada, the following variety of projects were presented: 

• The gold rush (minerals vs. environment)
• An outdoor class with 3D pencils
• A theme about trees including the 5 senses
• The design of various prototypes
• Muskrat vs. forest fires
• Western and Indigenous science (exterior and interior presentation)
• The use of various scientific tools in class from Vernier

From these options, a jury now has the difficult task to select the projects that will represent Canada during the next European Science on Stage Festival 2024 in Turku, Finland. 

We want to thank the organising team of the festival as well as every participating teacher for their efforts!
