Researchers' night in Jelgava

On 30 September, the Zemgale Region Competence Development Center (ZRKAC) organised the Researchers’ Night adventures for young researchers in cooperation with Jelgava city schools. 

Preschoolers and primary school students were to take their first steps in science together with their parents. T

During this event, 21 workshop were led by the teachers and students inJelgava and the participants of past national and European festivals. The moto of this event was "Mission - beyond the moon!". Thus everything revolved around space exploration.

At the lunar base station, the children were able to participate in a robot workshop, create their own constellation, learn how to build and launch a rocket and many more activities.

Since space is a topic that connects people of all ages and generations, the parents got involved in the activities with as much enthusiasm as the children. More than 400 children and their families participated in these cosmic adventures.
