From Portugal and Ireland to France
In the beginning of February, our board member Liliana Fernandes travelled to Northwestern France as part of an Erasmus+ Job Shadowing. She was warmly welcomed by staff and students of the school Notre-Dame-de-la-Charité in the small Breton town of Saint-Pol-de-Léon. There, local teacher Geneviève Cueff invited her to join her days at school and share information and experiences with her colleagues.
In an official training session organised by the local Catholic school association, Liliana presented Science on Stage and what it has to offer to teachers, and Geneviève talked about her Joint Project with Jane Shimizu, who had come from Ireland for the occasion. The presentations and encounters met with an enthusiastic response and were reported on in the local newspaper.
If you have attended a European Science on Stage festival as a delegate or know a teacher who has, you might be interested in developing a Joint Project for the 2026 edition of the festival in Lithuania. Applications can be submitted until the 14th of September, 2025. Learn more about the festival and how to join through a Joint Project here.
