The ASE conference 2024
We had a wonderful Schools Exhibition on Saturday 6th January, as part of the annual ASE national conference. Hundreds of science teachers came together for a three day science conference, with wide ranging session for teachers. Some of the UK Science on Stage delegation were able to attend the conference and share their projects, which have been chosen to attend the festival in Turku, Finland. Colleagues had a table top display, very much like the Science on Stage festival and were able to come together for the first time, to meet each other, share their projects and obvious excitement at being chosen to represent the UK at Science on Stage 2024. It was a good trial run for the big event in Turku, with colleagues bringing lots of equipment and resources. It also made them think about what can easily be transported, what needs to be sourced nearer the venue. We had moss, seeds, water that all need to be considered as part of the project. It was wonderful to meet some of the delegation, see there projects coming to life and answer questions around the Festival in Aug 2024. The exhibition was full of energy, excitement and questions- exactly what you would want and expect from keen science teachers.
