Adopt a tree for Emotional Botany

Anastasia Papakonstantinou and Astrinos Tsoutsoudakis, Science on Stage teachers from Crete, took part in an event for the Greek national day of Chemistry. They were accompanied by their former student Dafni Sideraki. Together, they presented their Science on Stage project "Adopt a Tree". This is how Anastasia experienced the event:

"11^th of March is the national day of Chemistry in Greece. In Heraklion it was celebrated in an open event held at the City Hall. The event attracted hundreds of locals with their children. Our team was kindly invited to present their project on precision farming that they submitted for AI Challenge along with the Adopt a tree teaching unit previously developed for STEM education and sustainability. We're really proud that both local universities have offered their unconditional support for our project which will be presented in late October this year at the premises of the institutions. Nevertheless as the results of the final stage of the competition have yet to be announced only the theoretical part, the sensors and the circuits have been revealed so far."
